Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Management team to improve all aspects of the function (optimize price/volume/mix analysis, support business cases, develop portfolio analysis, link product road maps to R&D development tracks, assess safety stock requests, etc.)
- Develop and track costs and benefits for a wide range of initiatives, including assumptions-based project plans
- Partner with other Finance team members in monthly forecast cycles and work with functional leaders to identify planning assumptions for key business drivers
- Collaborate with various teams (e.g. R&D, IT, and Accounting) to improve data quality and speed to reporting and ensure performance is accurately reported
- Drive continuous improvement of the Product Management team processes, deliverables, and timeline, including developing, automating, and maintaining regularly used reports and KPI metrics
- Lead and participate in Product Management improvement initiatives and analysis
- Lead preparation of our annual plan and monthly/quarterly reporting analytics in standard cost, mix, and operating expenses
- Communicate results to senior finance leadership and other department leaders
Qualifications
- BS. / B.A. in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution
- 5+ years of related experience in a similar role at an organization with multiple locations
- 3+ years of experience with integrated ERP and financial reporting systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution
- Fundamental understanding of the components of product cost (standard cost knowledge is highly preferred) and the drivers of related variances
- Proven results with structured problem solving and continuous improvement, applying Process Excellence/Six Sigma
- Experience with SAP, BPC, PowerBI, QlikView
- Advanced proficiency in modeling with MS Excel (macros, pivots, lookups)
- Previous experience supporting executive leaders
- Experience at an organization with international locations
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment
- Highly analytical and detail oriented
- Strong communication skills - ability to translate finance language to business action items
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to OSHA single person lift requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, or walk for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Must be able to work a standard full-time schedule
- Must be able to work a hybrid schedule, in the Richardson office
