Finance Manager
About the role
You will own the model: the financial forecast of the business, the analysis that sits around it, and the reporting that tells the leadership team where the company actually stands against plan. This is the FP&A half of the finance function; the Controller role owns accounting and close, so this position is not a catch-all finance seat.
What you'll own
- Company financial model and the forecast: building it, maintaining it, and defending it.
- Regular reporting on actuals versus plan, with early flags when something is drifting.
- Explaining the numbers: why revenue moved, why spend landed where it did, and what it means for the next two quarters.
- Cross-functional depth across sales, marketing, R&D and finance—understanding what each team is doing and how that shows up in the numbers.
- Analysis that leadership uses to make decisions on headcount, spend, pricing, and planning cycles.
What we're looking for
- 5–10 years of relevant experience; this is a hands-on owner role with SaaS operating experience.
- Real ownership of something that mattered—a model, a forecast, a P&L line—with a clear story about the impact it had on the business.
- Experience with scale: tell us what stage the company was at when you joined and what stage it was at when you left.
- Strong business acumen and very high attention to detail; fluency in your own work and the ability to walk through a complex model you built and discuss forecast accuracy.
- Bonus points for exposure to fundraising and to the go-to-market side of the business.
