Finance Manager

About the role

As a Finance Manager, you will manage the team responsible for producing financial outputs associated with Finance Strategy and Operations, including the annual budget preparation, monthly forecasts, strategic planning, and management reporting. This role is part of the Financial Strategy and Operations job function and involves maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees, including monitoring training and development, conducting performance evaluations, and coaching.
• Oversee recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new employees.
• Coordinate and manage the team’s daily activities, including establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
• Set and track staff and department deadlines, and mentor team members as needed.
• Oversee the budgeting process, forecasting, strategic planning, and standard management reporting.
• Review balance sheet account analysis, statement of cash flows, supporting schedules, and standard consolidated reporting packs for accuracy.
• Review and approve basic monthly journal entries.
• Produce routine and ad-hoc financial reports, packages, and pro forma analyses for senior management and planning units.
• Coordinate research, development, and preparation of accounting policy and procedures.
• Exchange and explain complex information, convey performance expectations, and handle sensitive issues.
• Influence stakeholders to reach agreements and lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE’s RISE values.
• Apply knowledge of your discipline and how it integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues in existing systems and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, performance measurement, and retention is preferred.
• Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, or difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
• Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
• Intermediate math skills, including the ability to calculate complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and financial-related calculations.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the USA without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay

The minimum salary for this position is $120,000.00 annually, and the maximum salary is $140,000.00 annually. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
