About the role

Partner with your team and develop all planning, and forecasting models while overseeing their continuous innovation and communication to both your operations & other business partners. Working and presenting the financial narrative on our long term plans, with a focus on key risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and participate in finance and accounting activities across several locations.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability.
  • Create a “learn by doing” environment by engaging with on-the-floor associates and managers to promote and encourage continued customer focus.
  • Leading components of our long term planning, ad-hoc project analyses, and planning related insights.
  • Working with partner teams to identify and report on key financial metrics.
  • Working with partner teams to understand gaps behind planning related variances.
  • Continuously improving existing processes with an eye toward automation, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Complete complex business modeling and analysis to identify operating improvements and deep dive on cost structures.
  • Influence business decisions with effective verbal and written communication, data driven analysis and modeling, and presentation of options and alternatives.
  • Facilitate financial review meetings with various levels of leadership to ensure effective finance and cost management.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its profitability.
  • Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key data is timely and accurate.
  • Manage data in financial systems, and create insightful reports to drive business decisions.
  • Reconcile financial reports across different businesses; drive process improvements, automation, and consistency.
  • Drive regular metrics reviews, as well as analytical support through deep-dive analyses.
  • Improve tools, processes, scale existing solutions, create new solutions as required based on stakeholder needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
  • 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
  • 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
  • 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
  • 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
