About the role
Amazon Freight Finance is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Finance Manager to join its Transportation Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to create and innovate on behalf of our customers and build the transportation experience of the future.
Responsibilities
- Own Shipper level Margin Analysis and partner with Sales, Pricing and other teams to address issues in margin.
- Perform the Cost dive deep in partnership with Cost Planning and Execution team and build template to show weekly, monthly and YTD performance including commentary for leadership reviews.
- Partner with Cross Functional teams on cost allocation and its methodology to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities to resolve defects proactively and improve, scale, or simplify finance tools across teams and organizations.
- Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams and partner finance teams to ensure seamless integration of the AF plan into the overall Worldwide Operations.
- Identify, resolve, or provide guidance to resolve complex data integrity issues.
- Improve controls to address financial risk and support frugality.
- Educate business partners on financial and non-financial trade-offs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or MBA and 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
Qualifications
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $95,400.00 - $163,200.00 USD annually.
