About the Role
The Finance Lead will be primarily responsible for the planning, development, and analysis of the Therapeutic SG&A budget. This position leads the creation of accurate and timely projections of spend for all Plan, LBE, LRP, Portfolio, and Actual submissions. The individual builds and maintains knowledge of the business through close communication with cross-functional partners, including executives, Marketing & Sales Management, Marketing Analytics, Business Insights, and Commercial Finance. Additional responsibilities include assisting in volume forecast development and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Primarily responsible for budget development and system loads for Plan, LRP, and LBE’s supporting SG&A of $300MM for the Therapeutic business unit.
- Manages multiple stakeholders, including the Therapeutic VP, Head of Sales, and Head of Marketing, answering queries and providing analysis on a timely basis to support decision-making.
- Operates independently to prepare and create reporting and key metric packages.
- Performs month-end journal entry analysis and preparation as required.
- Provides value-added monthly budget vs. actual variance analysis to the business.
- Manages all system requirements, including cost and profit center structure and maintenance.
- Conducts ad hoc analysis as required to support the business.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in Analytics, Mathematics/Statistics, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Operations, or Marketing required.
- 6+ years of combined experience in analytics, forecasting, and/or financial planning and analysis is required.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, along with good interpersonal skills to effectively work with all levels of management.
- Ability to triangulate a wide variety of data sets and analytics.
- Agility to prioritize and quickly understand issues and assess data integrity due to challenging deadlines.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills are required; strong PowerPoint skills are preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as a self-starter, supporting the business and forecasting leadership in various locations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Previous pharmaceutical and forecasting experience is preferred.
