About the Role
The Finance Lead will be primarily responsible for the planning, development, and analysis of the Therapeutic SG&A budget. The position will lead developing accurate/timely projections of spend for all Plan, LBE, LRP, Portfolio and Actual submissions. The individual builds and maintains knowledge of the business through close communication across a variety of cross-functional partners including executives, Marketing & Sales Management, Marketing Analytics and Business Insights and Commercial Finance. Additional responsibilities with proven success include assisting in volume forecast development and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Primarily responsible for budget development and system loads for Plan, LRP & LBE's supporting SG&A of $300MM for the Therapeutic business unit.
- Manages multiple stakeholders including the Therapeutic VP, Head of Sales and Head of Marketing answering queries and providing analysis on a timely basis to support decision making.
- Operates independently to prepare and create reporting/key metric packages.
- Month end journal entry analysis and preparation as required.
- Provides value added monthly budget vs. actual variance analysis to the business.
- Manages all system requirements including cost/profit center structure and maintenance.
- Ad hoc analysis as required to support the business.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in Analytics, Mathematics/Statistics, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Operations, or Marketing required.
- 6+ years combined experience in analytics, forecasting, and/or financial planning and analysis is required.
- Must have strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, along with good interpersonal skills to effectively work with all levels of management.
- Ability to triangulate a wide variety of data sets and analytics.
- Agility to prioritize and quickly understand issues and assess data integrity is critical due to challenging deadlines.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills are required; strong PowerPoint skills are preferred.
- Ability to work independently and self-starter, supporting the business and forecasting leadership in variety of locations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Previous pharmaceutical and forecasting experience is preferred.
