Finance Intern - Treasury

About the role
The Treasury team manages cash management, liquidity, capital structure, and risk mitigation across the enterprise. The group oversees daily cash positioning, debt management, and financial risk strategies to optimize capital efficiency and ensure operational liquidity.
This is a hybrid position located in Houston. Candidates will be local to the Greater Houston area. Relocation is not available.

Requirements
- Students pursuing a Bachelor's degree with concentrations in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Analytics, or related business discipline
- Strong academic credentials (Minimum GPA of 3.0)
- Proven leadership and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Develop an understanding of the Sysco approach, methodology, and tools
- Identify various business issues and provide solutions via research
- Establish working relationships with client personnel
- Exhibit a professional, business-like demeanor
- Ability to manage competing priorities, handle multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity in a matrix organization
- Ability to analyze complex issues, reason, think critically, and synthesize information
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at various levels
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)

Physical Demands
- The work requires sitting, finger dexterity for activities such as data entry, speaking, hearing, visual acuity, and mobility between departments
- Work may require bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and crouching; extensive telephone work
- Ability to receive detailed information through both verbal and written communication
- Able to express or exchange ideas utilizing the spoken word
- Can lift up to 50 lbs
- Use of both hands is required
Working Conditions
- The work is performed primarily indoors
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
