About the role
Heraeus Quartz North America is seeking a Finance Intern to join our team in Buford, GA. This onsite role provides hands-on experience in supply chain finance, cost analysis, financial reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with logistics, procurement, operations, and accounting teams.
Responsibilities
- Code, approve, and analyze freight and tariff invoices
- Prepare tariff analysis and reporting
- Assist with inventory valuation and inventory reserve analysis
- Support monthly inventory reporting and inventory accuracy initiatives
- Help identify slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory trends
- Analyze purchase price variances, manufacturing variances, and operational cost variances
- Prepare variance reports for management review
- Support monthly close activities and reporting
- Utilize Excel and systems to analyze large datasets
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Finance or Accounting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
- Experience with Power BI, SAP, or other ERP systems is a plus
