About the Role
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Athens is seeking a Financial Aid and Human Resources Support Associate. This is a full-time, partially grant-funded position designed to support health science program expansion and student success as outlined by the grant objectives, as well as support the human resources services of the college.
Responsibilities
- Process and award financial aid to health science students, ensuring compliance with all federal and state laws and TBR policies.
- Ensure the Completion Grants process aligns with THEC guidelines.
- Communicate Completion Grant opportunities with eligible health science students.
- Verify proper documentation and exhaustion of other funding sources before awarding Completion Grants.
- Determine Completion Grant awardees and communicate funding decisions to applicants.
- Coordinate Completion Grant payments with financial services.
- Complete all required grant reports.
- Maintain all college job descriptions.
- Post vacant jobs on Page Up.
- Schedule interviews and maintain interview paperwork.
- Complete new staff orientations, including an introduction to policies and benefits.
- Provide oversight of Title VII, including required training and management of the complaint process.
- Schedule staff training, including in-service days.
- Attend TBR-required meetings and trainings.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of full-time work experience in human resources, financial aid, accounting, or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and human resources policies.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets, analyze data, and generate reports efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Human Resources.
- Higher education experience.
- Experience with the Banner student information system.

Pay
Salary range: $35,114 - $43,892.
Working Conditions
- This position requires travel to all TCAT Athens sites.
- Occasional lifting and transport of materials may be necessary.
- Involves sitting, standing, walking, and computer usage.
