Finance Director, P&C Technology
About the role
The Corporate Finance department is seeking a Finance Director to lead a team of Financial Business Advisors supporting the P&C Technology organization. This leader will build a high-performing team that partners closely with technology and P&C finance leaders to influence investment decisions, challenge conventional thinking, and simplify complex financial information into actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Makes effective decisions in a timely manner with a view toward how these decisions fit into a broader framework across the organization; seeks to make decisions with clear understanding of overall impact to the organization.
- Communicates a logical view of different business options in a way that helps others understand and feel how business outcomes will be different as a result of the project/decision. Requirements
This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization. Nationwide does not participate in the STEM OPT extension program.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate studies in finance, economics, accounting or statistics; advanced degree in financial field desired.
- CPA preferred.
- Ten or more years of relevant experience related to accounting, finance, insurance or administrative business functions, with at least five years of management level experience.
Skills
Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis, financial statement preparation, budgeting and financial analysis techniques, and related business operations. Facility with GAAP and statutory accounting practices and insurance/financial service business requirements. Thorough knowledge of administrative policies and procedures required.
