About the role
The Director of Technology & Product Finance plays a pivotal role in shaping how Ticketmaster North America invests in technology and product development. Reporting to the VP, Partnership Finance, this role is highly visible and directly impacts the deployment of technology investments to drive scalable growth and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Finance Partnership
- Partner with senior leadership across Engineering, Product, and Design to shape technology and product investments.
- Translate financial and operational data into actionable insights that shape investment decisions.
- Connect roadmaps and initiatives to measurable financial outcomes (e.g., revenue impact, cost efficiency, scalability).
- Advise on investment decisions, trade-offs, and resource prioritization across the technology portfolio.
- Lead annual planning, forecasting, and monthly financial performance reporting for Engineering, Product, and Design organizations.
- Manage key cost drivers including headcount, infrastructure, vendor spend, and operating investments.
- Support investment decisions across engineering and product initiatives.
- Guide financial evaluations of technology investments to assess ROI and strategic alignment.
- Own tooling that tracks engineering investment allocation and capitalizable development work.
- Identify and analyze cost drivers across engineering and infrastructure, aligning operational activity and product usage with consumption-based technology spend (e.g., cloud and platform services).
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing technology finance team supporting the Delivery organization.
- Drive improvements in financial processes, reporting, and analytics to strengthen investment discipline.
Requirements
- 8-12+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, or consulting.
- Experience partnering with engineering, product, or technology leadership on investment decisions and resource prioritization.
- Experience evaluating technology investments, including software development and ROI analysis.
- Strong understanding of technology cost structures, including engineering headcount, infrastructure, vendors, and software development & capitalization.
- Experience managing financial planning for large or complex technology investment portfolios.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data.
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and BI tools supporting planning and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- Knowledge of coding languages such as SQL, or use of AI would be a plus.
