Essential Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in Sales Compensation, Finance, Revenue Operations, or Sales Operations, with a strong understanding of commission plan administration and incentive compensation processes.
- Hands-on experience with sales compensation and financial systems, including Varicent, Salesforce, NetSuite, and other cloud-based platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to work with large, complex datasets, perform detailed analysis, and deliver actionable insights.
- Strong knowledge of compensation accounting, accruals, forecasting, financial reporting, and audit support processes.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically, identify root causes, develop solutions, and drive continuous process improvements.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities while working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Passion for automation, process optimization, operational excellence, and leveraging technology to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Experience in SaaS, software, or other high-growth technology environments preferred.
What You'll Do
- Administer and support global sales compensation plans, ensuring accurate commission calculations, reporting, accruals, and payouts.
- Manage and maintain sales compensation systems and data, including employee, plan, and transaction information.
- Analyze compensation results, identify issues, and provide recommendations to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Partner with Sales, Finance, HR, Revenue Operations, and leadership to support plan administration and business objectives.
- Respond to participant inquiries, provide compensation guidance, and deliver training when needed.
- Support commission forecasting, accounting, audits, and month-end close activities.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements to increase operational efficiency.
