Finance & Business Analyst (Full-Time, Exempt)
Compensation Range: $40.44 - $54.60 per hour, based on applicable experience.
Shift: Days, 8 hours per shift, 80 hours per pay period. Fixed days off: Saturday & Sunday.
About the Role
The Finance & Business Analyst works under the direction of the Manager and Director of Finance. This position collaborates with various department leaders to provide advanced analytics and guidance for implementing and maintaining fiscally responsible decisions and processes. The role supports the financial and business goals of assigned areas by providing tools, driving performance metrics, and incorporating lean principles related to designated service areas for operational and growth objectives.
The incumbent will maintain a working knowledge of current information technology used in the hospital, integrating data across multiple systems to support program improvement and long-range strategic planning. Responsibilities include planning and coordinating advanced data collection and analysis for selected services and projects, providing operational and financial data analysis to management, and assisting department leaders in monitoring bi-weekly productivity and monthly financial performance.
This position also assists in developing and updating capital assets, improving capital asset management, and processing capital requests. It is responsible for the yearly operational budget and rolling forecast process, maintaining operational and financial metrics, and identifying revenue cycle opportunities, including charge capture issues.
The role requires effective communication with diverse groups, independent decision-making, and providing recommendations to administration, directors, employees, and medical staff. The incumbent must demonstrate good judgment, work independently with minimal supervision, and uphold Enloe Health’s core values.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with department leaders to provide advanced analytics and guidance for fiscally responsible decisions and processes.
- Provide tools to support financial and business goals of assigned areas.
- Drive performance metrics, value-based care, and lean principles for operational and growth goals.
- Maintain knowledge of current hospital information technology to integrate data across systems for program improvement and strategic planning.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Services Administration, Mathematics, or related field OR MBA or graduate degree.
- Three years’ experience in financial analytics, business analytics, information technology, healthcare, or a similar analytical role.
- Advanced Excel skills, including building financial or analytical models using advanced formulas for transforming large datasets.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or graduate degree.
- Healthcare experience.
- Understanding of clinical service lines and procedures.
- Familiarity with industry standards and metrics driving efficiency.
- Process mapping, workflow design, and project management skills.
- Experience with SQL, Microsoft Power Query, VBA, Python, and/or Power BI.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including simplifying complex financial findings into actionable insights.
- Ability to design, structure, and maintain complex datasets, dashboards, and analytical models supporting departmental KPIs.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query for creating refreshable data tools, visualizations, and dashboards.
- Analytical skills to gather and interpret quantitative and qualitative data for process improvement.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to develop cost-optimization initiatives and improve hospital efficiency and profitability.
- Familiarity with identifying and measuring impactful business operation metrics.
- Ability to create compelling visualizations supporting operational decision-making.
- Build relationships with diverse leaders, leading reviews of financial performance, productivity, and budget development.
