About the role

As a Finance Associate within PNC's Finance organization, you can be based in Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; or Birmingham, AL. In this role, you will support business and finance leaders by providing financial analysis, forecasting, planning, and strategic decision support to help drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. This role serves as a key finance partner, delivering insights and recommendations that support business objectives and informed decision-making.

The Finance Associate will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and finance partners to develop financial forecasts, evaluate business performance, identify trends and key drivers, and provide executive-level reporting and presentations. This role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and is ideal for a candidate who enjoys combining financial analysis, business partnership, and strategic problem-solving in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares timely, transparent, and succinct financial reports to enable informed decision-making by stakeholders.
  • Produces timely and precise revenue, expense, and staffing forecasts.
  • Develops strategic insights from data to enhance budget and forecast accuracy.
  • Contributes to annual budget cycle and continuous monthly forecasting.
  • Contributes to development of long-term strategic plans.
  • Prepares key financial forecasts, metric-driven performance dashboards, and strategic business insights for business leaders and executives.
  • Performs on-demand analysis and generates custom reports to address specific business needs.
  • Collaborates with the business on implementation and compliance of new accounting and regulatory standards.
  • Facilitates audit, regulatory, and investor requests by providing timely and accurate information.
  • Promptly identifies and addresses control matters; maintains sound control processes.
  • Navigates professional interactions with colleagues across departments to ensure alignment and shared success.

Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role.

  • Work Experience: Roles at this level typically require a university/college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Preferred Skills: Account Analysis, Accounting Research, Decision Making, Finance Strategy, Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting and Analysis, People Management, Results-Oriented.
  • Competencies: Accuracy and Attention to Detail, Budgeting, Business Analytics, Decision Making and Critical Thinking, Effective Communications, Finance and Accounting, Financial Analysis, Financial And Accounting Systems, Institutional Finance, Managing Expenses And Finances.

Pay

Base Salary: $63,750.00 – $106,250.00. Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, and individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with payment based upon company, business, and/or individual performance.
