Company Overview

Maven AGI is an enterprise AI platform dedicated to unleashing business artificial general intelligence (AGI), starting with customer service. Founded in July 2023 by executives from HubSpot, Google, and Stripe, Maven builds conversational AI agents capable of delivering accurate, autonomous support at scale. Our platform unifies fragmented systems, integrates knowledge and personalization sources, and enables intelligent actions—all without costly system changes. We aim to lay the groundwork for a future where our technology handles complex tasks, freeing up people to focus on creative problem-solving, relationship-building, and exceptional customer experiences. We began by reimagining the enterprise customer experience with a support use case, addressing today's slow and expensive support models.

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Associate to support our day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate, timely reporting. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is comfortable with numbers, systems, and financial statements, and who seeks broad exposure across budgeting, reporting, accounts payable and receivables, and sales commissions.

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis
    • Pull financial reports to support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
    • Reconcile actuals vs. budget, investigate variances, and provide clear explanations and strategic recommendations to the finance team.
    • Auxiliary preparation of internal financial dashboards and management reports.
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Manage the AP process, including capturing all bills across the business, obtaining department approvals, and scheduling payments.
    • Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries.
    • Ensure all bills are paid accurately and on time, following company policies and controls.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • Assist with AR oversight, including invoice preparation and tracking customer payments.
    • Monitor aging reports and flag overdue accounts to the appropriate stakeholders.
    • Support follow-up on outstanding invoices when needed.
  • Sales Commissions
    • Own the calculation of sales commission payments based on approved plans and reported performance.
    • Validate sales data and work with Sales/RevOps to resolve discrepancies.
    • Prepare clear commission statements for review and approval.
  • Compliance & Process Improvement
    • Help maintain proper documentation, controls, and audit trails for all finance activities.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes and reporting.

Who you are

  • 1–2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or investment banking.
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
  • Understanding and working proficiency in all three primary financial statements (Income Statement (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement).
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, basic analysis).
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.

What you show up as

  • Customer Champions: You put users at the center of your thinking, advocate for their needs, and design solutions that make their lives measurably better.
  • Bold in Action: You move with urgency and courage. You’re not afraid to challenge convention, take smart risks, and push boundaries in pursuit of meaningful outcomes.
  • Data-Driven and Insight-Guided: You make thoughtful decisions grounded in evidence. You’re curious, analytical, and combine data with intuition to guide strategy and execution.
  • Stronger Together: You bring others along, value diverse perspectives, and contribute to a culture of trust and shared ownership. You believe the best ideas emerge through open dialogue and collective effort.

What we offer

  • High Impact in cutting-edge field: Be at the vanguard of AI innovation.
  • Compensation Package: Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and meaningful equity stakes.
  • Inclusive Culture: A diverse and welcoming work environment where everyone’s voice is heard.

MavenAGI is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and is committed to fostering an environment where everyone feels included. Join us in changing the face of enterprise customer support.
