Finance and Administration Director

As the Finance and Administration Director, you will direct staff engaged in providing services across Finance, Purchasing, IT Services, Property, Student Records, Food Service, and Facilities Maintenance. You will ensure departmental programs and standards meet all DOL, FAR, PRH, Center, and The Bizzell Group’s requirements.
Responsibilities
- Model, mentor, and monitor appropriate career success standards.
- Follow the CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system daily.
- Evaluate personnel under your management and make recommendations regarding disciplinary actions, promotions, and/or merit increases.
- Monitor Center and Departmental budgets.
- Supervise teams in Finance, Student Records, Purchasing, IT Services, Property, Food Service, and Facilities Maintenance.
- Submit all required work to the CD office in a timely manner according to assigned due dates and deadlines.
- Participate in weekly meetings and special-related functions.
- Hold weekly departmental meetings with staff to communicate directives, policy changes, and updates from senior staff.
- Hold staff accountable for delivering quality services according to departmental functions, with daily observation and follow-up.
- Resolve conflicts, including student-to-student, student-to-staff, and staff-to-staff issues.
- Support and adhere to the CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system, ensuring the ePCDP is used effectively to support students.
- Comply with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
- Maintain good housekeeping in all areas and comply with safety practices.
- Participate in PRH-mandated staff training; failure to participate may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
- Monitor the Center’s facility developments and enhancements, including national office projects, and report progress or concerns to the Center Director.
- Serve as Acting Center Director as needed when the Center Director is away from the Center.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration is required; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of responsible experience in accounting is required.
- One (1) to two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Proficient with Excel spreadsheet applications and advanced Microsoft Office applications, including Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to analyze financial data and communicate results to management.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, for presenting facts and ideas clearly and concisely.
- Written communication must be clear, concise, and easy to read and comprehend.
- Demonstrated ability to handle several projects simultaneously.
- Implements key principles of time management, task allocation, and priority assignment.
- Continually seeks ways to improve service through professional skills and personal growth.
- Initiates and responds to suggestions for improving service.
