Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations for bank and credit card accounts.
- Ensure timely processing of vendor payments, rent, dues, rebates, and reimbursements.
- Maintain and update general ledgers; oversee deposit reports, transfers, and checkbook tracking.
- Prepare and file sales/use tax, and local county tax filings; support annual income tax preparation.
- Ensure accuracy of financial data, records, and internal controls.
- Conduct thorough vendor due diligence to ensure ongoing compliance and reliability.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Aid in budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure tracking, including capital and construction projects.
- Monitor cash flow and perform variance analysis to support leadership decision-making.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to leadership based on financial performance.
Management & Department Oversight
- Manage, train, and develop Finance & Accounting team members to ensure accountability and accuracy.
- Delegate daily responsibilities while maintaining oversight of deliverables and deadlines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Operations, and Ownership to align payroll, compliance, and financial goals.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal reporting requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant finance and/or accounting experience required.
- Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and tax compliance.
- Experience with QuickBooks and financial reporting systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and Google Workspace.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines.
- Strong work ethic with a demonstrated willingness to put in the time and effort to learn, adapt, and grow within the role.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation
Salary range: $75,000–$80,000, dependent on experience.
