Finance and Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations for bank and credit card accounts.
  • Ensure timely processing of vendor payments, rent, dues, rebates, and reimbursements.
  • Maintain and update general ledgers; oversee deposit reports, transfers, and checkbook tracking.
  • Prepare and file sales/use tax, and local county tax filings; support annual income tax preparation.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial data, records, and internal controls.
  • Conduct thorough vendor due diligence to ensure ongoing compliance and reliability.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Aid in budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure tracking, including capital and construction projects.
  • Monitor cash flow and perform variance analysis to support leadership decision-making.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to leadership based on financial performance.

Management & Department Oversight

  • Manage, train, and develop Finance & Accounting team members to ensure accountability and accuracy.
  • Delegate daily responsibilities while maintaining oversight of deliverables and deadlines.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Operations, and Ownership to align payroll, compliance, and financial goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal reporting requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant finance and/or accounting experience required.
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and tax compliance.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and financial reporting systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and Google Workspace.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic with a demonstrated willingness to put in the time and effort to learn, adapt, and grow within the role.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation

Salary range: $75,000–$80,000, dependent on experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Bending, reaching, stooping, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional regional auto travel possible (no overnight travel required).
