About the role
The Finance and Accounting Analyst 2 role is part of a dynamic finance hub that supports enterprise-wide decision-making through high-quality financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly, annual, and ad hoc financial analysis of operating accounts, including budget variance tracking and performance reporting.
- Support departments with budgeting, forecasting, and financial interpretation, ensuring consistency and accuracy across financial data sets.
- Perform detailed variance analysis to explain financial trends and provide actionable insights to leadership and stakeholders.
- Extract, analyze, and interpret financial data from multiple systems to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Develop and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and data extracts while ensuring accuracy and integrity across systems.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to investigate financial issues, improve processes, and support new initiative planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or related finance functions.
- Strong proficiency in financial tools and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database systems.
- Able to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and organizational levels.
- Experience with financial systems or tools such as Oracle, Cognos TM1, Smartsheet, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Knowledge of data analysis tools or coding (e.g., SQL, VBA, macros) is a plus.
