Finance Analyst, Global Cost Accounting
This position is a key member of the Enterprise Finance Global Cost Accounting Team, responsible for costing-related functions across regions and ERP platforms. The role focuses on managing Standard Costing & Cost Accounting for Paint, Specialty, and Outside Buy products in North America, ensuring accurate and timely product standard costs, annual standards re-rolls, and month-end variance accounting.
About the role
This position is located at our Global Headquarters in Cleveland, OH, and is not hybrid or remote. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with GSC operations & finance, commercial selling divisions, and other elements of the R&C Cost Team. Due to access to confidential financial information, a criminal history review is required.
Responsibilities
- Monthly close tasks, journal entries, review, and analysis of cost accounting concepts such as Manufacturing Absorption, Production Variances, and Revaluation for Paint & Specialty sites.
- Daily/weekly involvement in new product additions and quotes to support commercial groups.
- Complete the annual standard cost development process, including owning costing models, DRP development, Brand Compare development, and production forecast review.
- Assist with ad hoc projects, including strategic initiatives, system conversions, process streamlining, and SOP documentation.
- Support team training and development.
- Monitor and process cost hold items.
- Month-end close entries to allocate manufacturing variances to business units.
- Other tasks and strategic special projects, as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a focus in Finance or Accounting.
- 1+ years of finance and/or accounting experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience with OneStream.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience with QAD and Oracle ERP platforms.
- Experience in cost development and accounting.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP or Oracle 11i ERP.
- Experience in standard cost development and monthly variance accounting.
- Experience working cross-functionally and multi-nationally.
- Knowledge of Standard Costing methodology and monthly variance accounting.
