Finance Analyst
About the role
The Financial Planning and Analysis (“FP&A”) team plays an important role in delivering economic insights and decision-making support to senior leadership, which drives financial performance. The firm is looking to recruit an individual with financial services experience to support the expense allocation process and to develop and communicate analyses that will drive key business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Core Infrastructure departments to allocate expenses and contribute to analyses
- Work closely with Legal and Compliance in implementing the firm’s expense allocation policies
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation with attention to detail
- Develop ad-hoc analytics and reporting for senior management
- Collaborate with broader Finance organization, Strategy, IT, Legal, Business Management, and Compliance on firmwide initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance or related field is preferred
- 2+ years’ experience in Financial Services or Public Accounting
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills (Pivot tables, macros); knowledge of Tableau/Power BI or data query tools a plus
- Candidates with experience in Apptio or ServiceNow strongly considered
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to communicate effectively and present to executive-level audiences
- Aptitude for process improvement and efficiencies
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-moving, high-pressure, constantly changing environment, with a high sense of urgency
Pay
The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $160,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, the firm takes into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications to formulate a competitive total compensation package, which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.
