Final Avionics Technician A

About the Role

In this role, you will showcase your expertise by functional testing and repairing electrical, avionics, and communication systems during the final assembly of production aircraft. Your skills will ensure the seamless integration and optimal performance of these critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Test and configure electrical and avionics systems using airplane orders, schematics, and engineering specs.
• Install and remove components and wiring for systems like radios, altimeters, transponders, and weather radar.
• Load system software and databases, configuring as required.
• Use hand tools to adjust or restore systems to proper operation according to shop procedures and engineering requirements.
• Guide or assist 3-5 employees in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical system issues.
• Ensure the quality of your work through meticulous testing and adherence to standards.

Requirements

• A high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification is required.
• 3-5 years of aircraft experience including avionics troubleshooting and functional testing is required.
• Knowledge of electrical and avionics principles and use of test equipment is required.
• At least one year of fundamental avionics and electronics experience is helpful.
