About the role

This is a hands-on training role for someone who wants to build real experience in professional production — filming and editing commercial, branded, wedding, and church content — while learning directly from an experienced creative director. This is not a temporary hire or a side-gig arrangement. We are looking to bring someone in early, train them the right way, and grow together. This role offers a genuine path toward becoming a long-term, trusted partner in the studio.

Availability

We are not looking for open-ended on-call availability. We need two windows kept open, and we schedule within them as far ahead as we can:

• Monday – Wednesday: Flexible availability for production days, edits, and client delivery.
• Saturday evenings: Service recording edits, minimum two hours, every week.

Some client work is unpredictable, so there may be times when we need to ask for last-minute (12 – 24 hours) availability. Editing moves remote primarily once you reach Stage 1, depending on your comfort level. During onboarding, all work is on-site alongside our creative director.

Responsibilities

• Edit recorded services to our template and delivery standards, with consistent weekly turnaround — on-site at first, remotely once you have earned it.
• Edit across the rest of our slate as needed — announcement films, social cutdowns, event recaps, branded work, and wedding films.
• Operate camera equipment, provided by us, on shoots under supervision, progressing toward independent capture.
• Assist with gear setup, breakdown, and on-site logistics.
• Handle media management, footage organization, and equipment prep between shoots.
• Represent the studio professionally on client sites, including corporate, event, and faith-based settings.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients and partners, helping ensure their vision is understood and delivered.

Requirements

• Availability Monday through Wednesday, plus Saturday evenings. Both windows are firm requirements.
• Reliable personal transportation and genuine comfort with travel. Work is based in the Saint Cloud and Lake Nona area, and some locations will be a real drive. Travel per diem is available case-by-case.
• A workable editing setup at home, or willingness to build one. Remote editing is part of the role once you reach Stage 1. If a workable setup is not available, equipment may be provided at the studio’s discretion.
• Comfort and respect working in faith-based and church settings. Shared faith is not required, but genuine ease and respect in that context is.

Qualifications

• A fast learner with a real willingness to be trained. Prior camera or editing experience is a plus but not required; what matters more is how quickly you absorb direction and how much initiative you show.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to read a room. You will work with clients directly, sometimes unsupervised, and must be able to listen, understand a stakeholder’s intent, and represent our standards with patience, even when opinions differ.
• Professional presentation and demeanor at all times, particularly on client sites.
• Coachable, composed under pressure, and able to problem-solve calmly and remain flexible when plans change quickly.

Pay

• Stage 0 — Onboarding: $18/hr. On-site for every shoot and every edit. Learning our full workflow, gear, and standards. Typically one to two months.
• Stage 1 — Supervised and Remote Editing: $20/hr. Service edits move remote once you can run the process end to end. Production work continues on-site with our team.
• Stage 2 — Independent Shoots: $22/hr. Trusted to film and deliver independently, and to represent the studio with clients.

Schedule

This is a part-time, hourly W-2 position — roughly 8 to 20 hours per week depending on your stage and production volume. Hours and scope expand as the studio grows. We hold to defined availability windows rather than calling whenever we feel like it.
