Fill Technician I

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Fill and prepare prescription orders in a timely manner.
• Stock and manage the robotic counting machine.
• Absorb medications when scheduled.
• Keep the pharmacy clean based on a cleaning schedule.
• Check expired drugs on a monthly basis when scheduled.
• Assist with monthly inventory count.
• Pack and ship medications as needed.
• Respect and maintain confidentiality guidelines of HIPAA.
• Aid in enforcing all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician License with the State of Florida in good standing required.
• One year minimum of pharmacy experience is strongly preferred.

• Ability to fill 40 prescriptions per hour.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once.
• Ability to work in a standing environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively, patiently, and courteously.
• Focused team player, who can work in conjunction with pharmacists, other departments, customers, and management.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision and meet daily deadlines.
• Ability to perform repetitious work accurately.

Work Environment / Physical Demands

This position is in a typical office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment. May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients. Some travel may be required.
