About the role
The FIL Team Lead is responsible for assisting the FIL Supervisor and leading team members in their daily processes on the FIL Line, and the FIL shuttle. The FIL Team Lead must be able to perform the day-to-day activities of the supervisor in his absence. The FIL Team Lead must also be able to fill other job positions when team members are absent.
Responsibilities
- Aid Supervisor with process issues, alert Supervisor and AM of any inspection or process concerns immediately
- Lead team members on a daily basis and ensure all processes are being followed to meet customer expectations
- Makes sure every team member has the necessary PPE to require for the job
- Makes sure everyone is properly trained on their job
- Communicate any process change or customer demands to team members
- Assist the supervisor with ensuring established production, quality, and delivery commitments are met
- Assist the supervisor in handling personnel issues
- Assist in ensuring Cognosos tracker inventory is maintained on the OK line and FIL line
- Communicate effectively with customers, Supervisors, and fellow team members to meet and exceed customer expectations
- Conduct daily Exit Side Audits to ensure customer expectations are met
- Drive with trainees (at end of their training) to verify new driver's training has been thorough and successfully completed
- Monitor inspectors and drivers to ensure processes and safety procedures are in place and being followed
- Keep Line Stops at a minimum and discuss any concerns with Supervisor and/or AM
- Communicate and review processes/procedures in place on a regular basis and correct if necessary
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to work OT, weekends, and/or holidays
- Proven leadership experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Qualifications
- Must have HS Diploma/G.E.D.
- Must have valid Driver's License
