Field Welder

About the role

Prince Precision Products and Prince Service & Manufacturing are seeking individuals who embody ethical behavior, customer focus, problem-solving skills, flexibility, and selflessness. We are particularly interested in hiring pipe welders and millwrights with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Completes preventative maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
• Observes mechanical devices in operation and uses precision measuring and testing instruments to locate and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand and machine tools.
• Fabricates parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
• Conducts routine maintenance and safety checks.
• Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts.
• Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt.
• Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks.
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Prepares and submits maintenance reports.

Requirements

• Pipe Welder or Millwright experience.
• Able to read blueprints.
• Passes a background check and drug screen.
• Has a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with a valid Georgia driver's license.
• Excellent troubleshooting and time-management skills.
• Technical School is preferred but not required.
• Exposure to prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
• May be required to handle items weighing up to 50 pounds.
