About the role

Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a part-time Research Field Interviewer to support community-based research in Klamath and Lake Counties in Southern Oregon.

Responsibilities

  • Take research into the community and help make every participant's voice count.
  • Conduct research interviews in participants' homes and other appropriate community or public locations.
  • Maintain contact with participants and use creative, appropriate strategies to locate individuals who may be difficult to reach.
  • Complete interviews, follow-up activities, and other duties according to established data collection protocols and required timelines.
  • Network with community organizations and contacts to strengthen recruitment and participant engagement.
  • Provide participant transportation when needed.
  • Collect urine drug screens when required as part of follow-up data collection.
  • Help participants set up and navigate a smartphone application used as part of the research project.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of communities and neighborhoods within Klamath and Lake Counties required.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of current automobile insurance required.
  • A reliable personal vehicle required for travel throughout the assigned service area.
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as assigned based on participant availability.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, and cold.
  • Ability to provide participant transportation when required.

Pay

Starting pay is based on experience, qualifications, internal equity, and local market conditions. Starting pay is $23.69 to $27.01 per hour.

Schedule

This is a part-time, field-based position.
