About the role

A Field Test Support Engineer’s primary responsibility is to execute test case instructions and report discrepancies, execution and analysis of automated regressions, and track daily execution status using recommended tools and techniques in test environments and customer environments (real field). A Field Test Support Engineer is also responsible for the successful and on-time delivery of results.

Responsibilities

• Execute test cases prepared for testing software builds.
• Perform test case execution and report bugs accurately.
• Understand testing procedures and guidelines for new builds/releases.
• Write test cases/scenarios for new features/modules.
• Perform regression and repetitive testing exercises to qualify builds without compromising on quality.
• Use software tools like dashboards for data capture on a daily basis.
• Capture results, communicate and escalate failures, and provide individual status reports.
• Raise all failures/doubts related to the execution of test cases in the clarification portal and close them as per the SLAs.
• Maintain lab and test farm.
• Execute automated tests and analyze the test results.
• Perform testing in the field to certify the final software build.

Requirements

• 1+ years of Quality Assurance/testing domain experience.
• Experience in the Linux environment.
• Bachelor's degree within the last 12 months in engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience in Unix, or experience working with device technologies under development, familiarity with flashing firmware, basic device debugging, and familiarity with reading/pulling device logs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge or experience in Embedded and App testing.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments, and managing workload even during times of stress or escalated activity.
• Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines.

Pay

USA, CA, Sunnyvale - $70,400.00 - $106,300.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
