Field Technician, Ozona
About the role
The Field Technician position is based in Ozona, TX, 76943. This role is part of Phillips 66's midstream division, focusing on the operation and maintenance of equipment in the gathering of natural gas.
Responsibilities
- Works autonomously at varying times and in diverse weather conditions, at remote field locations and is available for callout.
- Participates and successfully completes training programs, risk management reviews, and safety meetings.
- Reviews and follows procedures as necessary to ensure compliance of all company and industry standards.
- Accurately completes documentation such as timesheets, SAP work orders, safe job plans, work permits, and regulatory reports.
- Performs and accurately documents regulatory required inspections.
- Oversees contractors, providing specialty services (Quality Assurance, Quality Control).
- Operate and maintain equipment used in the gathering of natural gas.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot and repair equipment as required.
- Routine pipeline maintenance which includes pigging, flaring and hydrate removal.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding equipment performance, and safety concerns.
- Promote good relations between the company, customers and the landowners.
- Always follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in job posting country
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must maintain a valid driver’s License
- 1 or more years of experience in oil and gas operations
- Currently live, or willing to relocate, within 50 miles of the reporting location
- Willing and able perform/comply, with or without a reasonable accommodation, with the following:
- Frequently exerts push/pulling force of up to 130 pounds
- Frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Regularly stoops, squats, kneels and crouches for durations up to 30 minutes
- Occasionally may climb various type of ladders up to range of 5 to 50 feet in height
- Operate in both indoor and outdoor conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity
- Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the gas plant
- Frequently works independently as well as part of a team
- Works extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Works safely around various types of rotating equipment
- Wear fire-retardant clothing and other personal protective equipment, such as steel-toe boots and ear and eye protection
Preferred
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Safety and environmental alertness, and promotes a safe work environment by complying with all procedures, rules and regulations
Compensation
This position has a base salary range of $70,200 – $123,200. Compensation is determined based on experience, skills, and alignment with the role's requirements.
