About the role
At EquipmentShare, we’re hiring a Field Technician (Mechanic) at our Advanced Solutions rental facility in Tulsa, OK. This role involves using our tech to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track machine service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues faster by pulling data from hundreds of makes and models. The role requires travel to customer job sites to perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil free air compressors.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create, assign, and monitor work orders
- Track machine service intervals
- Order parts
- Diagnose equipment issues
- Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations
- Handle repairs
- Train lower level technicians as needed
- Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed
- Aid in pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
- Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements (preferred)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma, Trade school certificate preferred
- Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred
- EPA 608 certification is preferred (can be obtained within 6-12 months of employment)
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
- Physical requirements: Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend freely; Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
