Field Technician I
Location: Providence, RI • Duration: Contract with intent to hire • Compensation: $28–$33/hour (W2) • Work authorization: US Citizen, Green Card holders, or authorized to work in the US
About the role
This is a home-based, dispatched position supporting job assignments within a specified geographic area. You will travel locally to install and maintain telecommunications systems while delivering outstanding customer service. The role begins as a contract opportunity with the intent to convert to a permanent employee in a relatively short period.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain voice, data, security, and VoIP communication systems and equipment.
- Complete assigned work orders with a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
- Travel to and from customer locations within a designated geographic area to perform installations and repairs.
- Use a laptop and various software applications to manage work orders and documentation.
Requirements
- 1–5 years of experience in telecommunications or a related electrical field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of technical aptitude.
- Experience working with Cisco systems or similar equipment manufacturers.
- US citizenship, Green Card, or authorization to work in the US.
