Field Technician - Heavy Equipment

Role Overview

A Field Technician responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment at customer sites to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Key Duties

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on loaders, excavators, and backhoes.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, implementing repairs efficiently.
• Respond promptly to service requests, providing clear communication and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate service records and provide feedback on equipment performance.
• Adhere to safety protocols, regulations, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with the service team to prioritize work and suggest improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma; technical certifications preferred.
• 2+ years of heavy equipment maintenance experience with brands like Caterpillar, John Deere, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools; excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred; certifications like ASE are a plus.

Physical & Other Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors, lift heavy parts, and travel within the territory.
• Must have a complete set of tools; company provides specialized equipment.
