Responsibilities
- Perform geotechnical field investigations, inspections, and testing in support of projects
- Observe and document the installation and testing of geosynthetics
- Collect environmental and geotechnical samples (soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, vapor, etc.)
- Operate and maintain field equipment (sampling pumps, gauges, GPS, data loggers, monitoring instruments)
- Complete field documentation such as field notes, inspection logs, job safety analyses, and chain-of-custody forms
- Assist with data collection, interpretation, and basic reporting
- Support quality control and quality assurance procedures
- Work closely with engineers, scientists, and project managers
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental protocols
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or technical training preferred)
- 0–2 years of relevant field, construction, environmental, or hands‑on experience
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
