Field Technician

About the role

Join our team in the Wilmington, DE office as a Field Technician. This hands-on role supports field operations, ensuring quality and compliance across various infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control review and testing for construction projects
• Review activities and provide oversight on a variety of construction projects within the fields of geotechnical engineering and construction
• Field observation, testing, and sampling of soils, concrete masonry, and steel construction
• Review, understand, and interpret project plans and specifications, shop drawings, product data, and RFIs
• Completion of field documentation in a timely manner, such as job safety analysis (JSA) forms, project field reports, field notes, soil, concrete, and asphalt datasheets, monitoring, and chain-of-custody forms
• Recordkeeping and maintenance of testing equipment
• Operate and maintain company vehicles

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 or more years of experience with collecting soil, concrete, groundwater, or other construction material samples
• 1 or more years working in construction
• Capable of working primarily in an outdoor work environment and occasional office environment
• Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally with or without an accommodation, sometimes over substantial distances
• Valid driver's license

Pay

The starting salary for this position is $20.00 an hour, with final compensation determined based on qualifications and licensing status.
