Field Technician
About the role
Lawrence Doors, Inc., a leader in the commercial door industry, and a part of Amarr / ASSA ABLOY Group (the global leader in opening solutions), is seeking an experienced field technician for our Riverside Branch - Inland Empire Area. The position requires a strong background in commercial and industrial door installations, service, and repair, with a willingness to work overtime.
Responsibilities
- Install and repair commercial and industrial overhead doors
- Perform stick welding on edge of docks and bumpers
- Install motor operators and gate operators
- Run floor loops and troubleshoot high-speed doors
- Read and use basic measurement tools to ensure accuracy
- Document all work performed for quality assurance
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Assist with safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3–5 years of experience using hand and power tools
- 3-5 years of commercial coil overhead door installation and repairs
- Stick welding experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods
- Ability to climb extension ladders and operate scissor lifts and forklifts safely
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, safety, and documentation
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Skills
- Electrical experience with installing motor operators and gate operators
- Basic knowledge of reading and interpreting architectural drawings

$27.00 to $35.00 per hour (DOE)
