Field Technician

Job Summary

Lawrence Doors, Inc., a leader in the commercial door industry, and a part of Amarr / ASSA ABLOY Group (the global leader in opening solutions), is seeking an experienced foreman specializing in commercial and industrial door installations, service, and repair for our Los Angeles Branch. Overtime work is mandatory.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 3–5 years of experience using hand and power tools
• 3-5 years of commercial coil overhead door installation and repairs
• Stick welding experience
• Ability to install edge of docks and weld on bumpers
• Electrical experience with installing motor operators and gate operators
• Ability to run floor loops
• Ability to troubleshoot high-speed doors
• Ability to read drawings and use basic measurement tools
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, safety, and documentation
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods
• Ability to climb extension ladders
• Experience with safe operation of scissor lift and forklift

Compensation

• $27.00 to $35.00 per hour (DOE)

• Opportunity to work overtime
