Field Technical Customer Support 3 - Delaware

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the installation of 911 call handling and dispatch systems
• Travel to customer sites for installation and troubleshooting of software and hardware
• Provide on-site training for assigned products
• Resolve product compatibility and integration issues remotely and on-site
• Support customers and service technicians with remote and on-site issues
• Develop and maintain Method of Procedures (MOPs)
• Assist in new product development and training

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of technical customer service and installation experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience with networking, Windows-based servers and workstations
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Oracle and SQL
• Certifications in relevant areas (e.g. CCNA, MCSE, etc.)
• Telephony knowledge (e.g. MDF, tip and ring punchdown, color codes, POTS)
• Basic knowledge of Word and Excel
• Knowledge of cabling (e.g. running, terminating, and testing Cat5e, 568a, 568b, RJ45)
• On-call availability and night shift work dependent on customer requests
• Local travel throughout Delaware
• Mileage reimbursement for local travel

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Able to bend, stoop, carry items weighing up to 25 lbs
• Able to climb stairs, work in confined spaces, crawl, kneel, push, reach above the shoulder, stand, walk, and lift objects above the head
• Able to hear customers over the phone, detect system beeps, and verify sound quality
• Able to see well enough to read PC screens, review mother board schematics, and follow technical documentation

The starting salary is anticipated between $36 and $46 per hour and will be commensurate with experience. This role is eligible for overtime and mileage reimbursement.
