About the role
The Field Supply Administrator manages the receipt, storage, inventory control, and distribution of aircraft parts and materials in support of maintenance operations. This role ensures inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, proper preservation of aviation components, and timely processing of shipments, transfers, and material requests.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the preservation and proper storage of all articles or parts, including those subject to deterioration and shelf-life specifications.
- Maintain materials, parts, and supplies in a condition suitable for installation or use on civil aviation articles.
- Review shipping queue and hangar daily; expedite movement of items after ensuring compliant protective packaging.
- Document shipped items by recording identifying information and transportation details, including all Ramco system entries.
- Gain approval for priority overnight or hot shot shipments when aircraft is not undergoing contract-related AOG.
- Receive and store incoming base transfers; transfer parts to other base locations as MMD sheets are issued.
- Prepare incoming drop-ship/AOG spares for full receiving inspection.
- Notify QC personnel when a controlled component is drop-shipped to ensure proper inspection and time verifications.
- Arrange and place items in bins or shelves; adjust inventory system after items are received.
- Process issues by selecting parts from the warehouse, verifying appropriate documentation, confirming the issue in Ramco, and moving parts to shipping as needed.
- Create, edit, cancel, authorize, confirm, and short close material requests, stock transfer orders, stock transfer issues, stock transfer receipts, record shipping details, maintenance returns, general returns, and maintenance issues.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards in the warehouse.
- Foster cost-effective use of company funds.
- Understand and identify overhaul, retirement, inspection, and shelf-life requirements on parts tags and in the Ramco system.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supply Supervisor/Supply Manager.
Qualifications
- Organized with the ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team under a large and varied workload.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments, changing priorities, and deadlines.
- Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and problem-solving.
- Strong task prioritization abilities.
- Self-motivated with minimal supervision required and a willingness to learn.
- Strong interpersonal (including diplomacy) and communication skills (written and verbal) for interactions in person, via email, or other correspondence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
- Aviation background preferred but not required.
