Responsibilities
- Interacts, assists, and supports crews daily at the beginning and/or end of their shifts.
- Maintain communication with other agencies and departments.
- Directs and leads support staff in inventorying, ordering, receiving, stocking, and issuing medical and shop equipment and supplies.
- Maintain availability during disaster situations or mass casualty incidents and assist in any capacity needed.
- Communicate company goals and standards of excellence through exemplary daily job performance, attitude, initiative, and demeanor.
- Prepare reports and manage projects as assigned by Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager.
- Ensure maintenance of adequate levels of staffing, equipment and medical supplies for field units.
- Perform direct ALS patient care activities.
- Monitor truck cleanliness and truck maintenance issues.
- Work with crews to maintain truck cleanliness and proper DHS levels.
- Make recommendations to the Training Manager and Clinical Specialist to improve various aspects of the training and QA/QI programs.
- Proactive in approach to day-to-day operations, implements process improvements.
- Ensure PCR’s and other field paperwork is 100% reconciled daily in conjunction with the PCR processing.
- Ensure 100% of operational response exceptions are brought to closure with appropriate action.
- Prepares written feedback for team member evaluations.
- Provides team counseling and guidance and information regarding ABC Ambulance operations.
- Directs and evaluates all field team members.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- State Paramedic certification or eligible for State certification.
- State Driver’s License.
- CPR, PHTLS, and ACLS certification, or equivalent credentials.
- 3 years of EMS experience required.
- Paramedic field experience is preferred; EMT field experience is considered.
- Driving record in compliance with GMR policy.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of EMS experience.
- Current CPR, PHTLS, and ACLS certification, or equivalent credentials.
- Paramedic certification or eligibility for State certification.
- State Driver’s License.
- Experience in managing and supervising teams.
- Ability to perform direct ALS patient care activities.
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures.

$56,124.64 per year with credit given for experience.
