Area Supervisor

About the role

The Area Supervisor plays a crucial role within Ross, a leading off-price retail chain with over 2,200 stores. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will oversee a specific area of the store, supervise associates, and ensure a safe, secure, and customer-friendly environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment
• Treat all customers, associates, and leaders with respect
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and cleanliness
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes
• Manage associates, train, coach, and ensure adherence to Company standards
• Handle administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Fluency in English
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications
• Basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to work evenings and weekends

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, and moving around the Store for up to 100% of the time
• Bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, carrying, reaching, and stooping
• Pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Using janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies
