About the role
The Field Supervisor is a step up in title and pay for exceptional industrial hygienists who enjoy the coaching and technical aspects of the job. This role focuses on field leadership, offering variety and flexibility without the demands of corporate management.
Responsibilities
- Ensure apprentices, interns, and field technicians have the supplies, PPE, and equipment needed for every job.
- Track inventory and restock supplies before shortages occur.
- Organize and calibrate sampling and monitoring equipment for immediate deployment.
- Show up regularly and provide on-site support, answering questions and giving technical advice.
- Audit field work for quality, conduct regular reviews, and coach staff on proper techniques and protocols.
- Support apprentices and interns in achieving their certifications and provide hands-on training.
- Serve as the technical expert and go-to resource for field staff on regulatory and procedural questions.
- Represent Titan's technical standards and judgment on-site with clients and building occupants.
- Apply and reinforce California industry-standard requirements and safety practices.
Requirements
- Required Certifications: Cal/OSHA Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC), Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST), Lead Inspector/Assessor Certification (CDPH-accredited), OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
- Required Experience & Skills: 3+ years of hands-on field experience in industrial hygiene, asbestos, lead, or environmental consulting; strong people skills; genuine interest in coaching and development; comfort with variety and change; sharp eye for quality and process; valid California Driver's License; ability to travel to project sites.
Qualifications
- Nice to Have: Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or progress toward CIH certification; HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certification; mold assessment credential (e.g., CMC, CIEC); moisture intrusion experience; prior experience training, mentoring, or supervising apprentices or junior field staff; experience working across multiple California Air District jurisdictions; bilingual (English/Spanish).
