About the role

We are seeking a full-time Field Supervisor to work alongside Highway Maintenance Technicians in the Houston, TX area. This role involves overseeing a variety of highway maintenance tasks, including attenuator repair/install, sign repair/install, guardrail repair, and concrete repair, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies. The Supervisor will coordinate daily operations, support staff development, and ensure safety, productivity, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee performance of highway maintenance tasks such as attenuator repair/install, sign repair/install, guardrail repair, and concrete repair.
  • Coordinate daily operations and ensure adherence to all applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Support staff development and ensure safety, productivity, and compliance.
  • Operate equipment including Wheel Loader, Skid steer, Forklift, Mini excavator, etc.
  • Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job.
  • Carry out simple arithmetic functions and read/understand detail sheets/project plans.
  • Use smart phones and applications, and adapt to the latest technology.
  • Adjust to changing work schedules and respond to emergency call outs.
  • Perform strenuous manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting.
  • Operate hand/power tools safely under varying environmental and weather conditions.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English & Spanish.
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisor/Field lead experience in highway maintenance.
  • Roadway/toll lane maintenance experience.
  • Industry knowledge of highway maintenance and/or the construction transportation field.
  • Minimum associate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working in the field as a Supervisor/Lead worker.
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass criminal background check, MVR, and controlled substance/drug testing.
  • Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work safely under varying environmental and weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of roadway maintenance experience.
  • MOT Certifications (Traffic control).
  • CDL License.

Schedule

Full time; typical schedule is Monday-Sunday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM or Monday-Sunday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM. Must be flexible and work varying schedules, including emergency call outs.

Pay
