Maintenance Mechanic Day Shift

About the role

• Maintains and repairs all raw fruit processing equipment.
• Maintains and repairs packaging equipment.
• Rebuilds, repairs, and maintains equipment per specifications, including pumps, gear boxes, drives, augers, and conveyors.
• Troubleshoots and repairs hydraulic systems.
• Analyzes problems related to equipment.
• Sets up and starts equipment, lubricates machinery and parts, and changes over equipment for product changes as required.
• Performs light machinist duties and plumbing functions (steam, water, air, and hydraulics).
• Maintains general housekeeping.
• Works with minimal supervision and conducts oneself in a professional and efficient manner.
• Capable of dealing with other employees, including supervisors and leads.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to perform arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, volume, area, percent, and draw/interpret graphs.
• Proficiency in using a welder, torch, hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to operate a forklift.

$23.50 - $24.50 per hour
