Maintenance Mechanic - Day Shift

Position Summary

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will provide technical expertise and work as a part of a team involved in the Maintenance of Blow Mold machines and support equipment. Your responsibilities will range from performing repairs and maintenance of plastic molding machinery, including all mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulics, and conveyor systems. You will also maintain and troubleshoot electrical devices, PLC programming, and integration.

Requirements

• Industrial Maintenance experience
• Knowledge of industry controls and current technologies
• Outstanding communication skills
• Ability to meet project requirements

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Performs routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment
• Replaces or repairs parts on machines such as bearings, filter, wiring, valves, gauges and switches
• Starts devices to test their performance
• Initiates purchase order for parts and machines
• Participates in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours as required
• Uses a variety of common hand and power tools
• Has basic understanding of electrical and mechanical properties
• Follows all safety rules and procedures and observes the operations to ensure a safe environment
• Upholds Site and Corporate Environmental Policies by following all Environmental Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions
• Ensures compliance of “Food Product Safety” & “Product Quality” of the molded product, to meet the expectations of our customers
• Understands and follows Hazard Materials Regulations 49 CFR Part 172.704 (a)(1) General awareness/familiarization training, (a)(3) Safety training, and (a)(4) Security awareness training
