About the role

KLX Energy Services LLC provides a broad range of technical solutions and equipment to customers in the energy sector, delivering expert services for every phase of the wellsite, including drilling, completions, re-fracing, production, workover, and plug and abandonment. This position is based in Gillette, WY, with a 2-1 rotational schedule.

Purpose

The Supervisor will assist in the supervision of all field cementing activities and personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce safety regulations.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of all field operations.
  • Provide guidance when hooking up and removal of service equipment to wellhead.
  • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
  • Plan and establish work schedules and assignments.
  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
  • Demonstrate equipment operations and safety procedures to new employees or assign employees to experienced workers for training.
  • Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure operators conform to production or processing standards.
  • Interpret specifications, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
  • Maintain operations data such as time, operation, and cost records, and prepare management reports of operating results.
  • Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, operations quality, or efficiency.
  • Determine standards, budgets, operation goals, and rates based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloads.
  • Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.
  • Set up and adjust machines and equipment.
  • Calculate labor and equipment requirements and operation specifications using standard formulas.
  • Plan and develop new products and operation processes.
  • Travel 50-75%.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • 2-4 years of related work experience.
  • Class B CDL with required endorsements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Class A CDL with required endorsements.

Physical Requirements

  • Precise hand/eye coordination: Occasionally
  • Basic keyboarding or other repetitive motions: Frequently
  • Operation of heavy equipment or vehicles: Frequently
  • Lifting/pushing objects weighing over 50 lbs: Frequently
  • Climbing, squatting, kneeling, and bending: Frequently
  • Working in awkward and cramped positions: Occasionally
