About the role

Manages and directs subcontractors and employees to complete the erection and field finishing of the project in accordance with plans, ensuring the project is completed safely, defect-free, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment and high-quality products.
  • Oversee the erection and field services on an assigned project.
  • Assist the Trucking Manager on trucking-related scope items for assigned projects.
  • Provide guidance to Engineering, Project Management, and Subcontractors on the development of the erection plan.
  • Oversee external communication with customers regarding schedules, site logistics, and construction sequence.
  • Lead Pre-Erection Meetings.
  • Verify Jobsite Bill of Materials and Erection Bill of Materials.
  • Coordinate deliveries with Project Management and Trucking Manager; order and coordinate additional materials for erection and repairs.
  • Review subcontractor progress for compliance with Erection Welding, Grouting, and Bracing Plans.
  • Review product quality for conformance with project specifications and PCI tolerances.
  • Notify Engineering of defects requiring FRWOs (Field Repair Work Orders).
  • Review project sites and subcontractors for compliance with Erection, Field Safety, and Project Site Safety Manuals.
  • Track punch list and repair items using electronic records.
  • Communicate project status and scheduling to external customers and Engineering.
  • Provide direction to subcontractors to perform necessary work.
  • Perform layout work for repairs as needed.
  • Attend jobsite and construction meetings, as well as subcontractor meetings as required.
  • Coordinate work with the General Contractor and other trades on the project site.

Requirements

  • OSHA 10-hour certification (required).
  • OSHA 30-hour certification and PCI Field Auditor certification (a plus).
  • Associate degree (A.A.S.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to understand manufacturing methods and techniques, and to read and comprehend complex drawings.
  • Travel up to 5 days per week for day trips to job sites.
