About the role
We Elevate... Quality of urban life. Join us as a Field Superintendent Existing Installations. Your main responsibilities include ensuring maintenance meets quality standards, implementing customer and company requirements for quality, performance reliability, and passenger safety, managing employee selection, training, and safety, and supporting sales staff in estimating service orders, scheduling, and executing orders.
Responsibilities
- Ensure maintenance meets Area and Company quality standards and contract requirements.
- Implement customer and Company requirements for quality, performance reliability, and passenger safety for each project under supervision.
- Support sales staff in estimating service orders, scheduling, and executing orders, and investigating and resolving customer complaints.
- Manage ongoing program of project audits to assure conformance of performance standards of quality, completeness, and safety.
- Develop and implement manpower selection, training, and performance appraisal programs essential to productivity and quality improvement objectives.
- Implement route management strategy to ensure uniform application of preventive maintenance procedures while controlling manpower to a minimum level.
- Develop a spirit of teamwork and dedication to quality improvement among all employees.
- Evaluate and initiate requests for tooling where such tooling would support productivity improvement.
- Maintain and manage proactive relationships with local IUEC business agents.
- Advise Area management of competitor activity as related to pricing, performance, and manpower.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred OR 3 years of technical experience in the elevator industry or related field.
- Working knowledge of elevators and escalators to manage and direct field personnel to meet Area goals.
- Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing, and have proven leadership skills.
- Necessary skills and experience to interpret customer concerns, mobilize internal resources, and ensure customer satisfaction while minimizing cost and human resources disruption.
- Able to teach hourly employees the Company's methods of quality, productivity, and safety.
- Able to persuade hourly field to follow practices and procedures fostering teamwork and improving quality and productivity.
- Able to communicate with and influence business agents, inspectors, etc., in resolving disputes.
- Able to demonstrate to customers they are receiving fair value for their expenditures.
Qualifications

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
