About the role

The Field Site EHS is responsible for planning, implementing, managing and maintaining a comprehensive environmental safety & health program at a project site location in Cheyenne, WY. They provide guidance on environmental, health, safety and security matters and help ensure the project site fulfills customer, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on environmental, health, safety and security matters
  • Identify, anticipate and assess hazards
  • Implement project specific and Company EHS&S Policies and Procedures and management systems
  • Coordinate overall EHS&S with site contractor EHS&S personnel
  • Facilitate/participate in Serious Incident Review (SIR) and Incident Investigations and Root-Cause Analysis of all incidents
  • Oversee and supervise project based EHS&S professionals
  • Develop, implement, and monitor daily adherence to environmental, health, safety and security policies and procedures
  • Lead / monitor and communicate project performance management metrics
  • Conduct EHS audits, track trends within an internal database
  • Represent the company during customer / third party facing presentations, meetings and during investigations
  • Ensure consistent expectations are delivered throughout the organization
  • Perform regulatory inspections

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Affairs, or related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
  • 10+ years of proven and progressive EHS&S experience performing and managing EHS&S Program implementation within the EPC environment and heavy industrial construction industry
  • Any of the following certifications is a plus: CHST, CSP, CHMM
  • Competent in federal, state, and local occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and EHS data management software
  • Effective communication, influencing, and coaching skills with individuals at all levels
  • Willingness and ability to provide 24X7 on call support for emergencies
  • Knowledge of union craft environment is a plus
  • Established client relationships within the utility, industrial, and oil and gas market sectors is a plus
  • Ability to successfully work both in team environment and independently, with minimum supervision, under the guidance of the Project Manager and Director of Corporate EHS&S
  • Solution minded, self-starter, goal oriented, quality focused, with a high degree of integrity and demonstrated success creating and fostering a team environment
  • Exceptional organization, data management, analytical and presentation skills
