Responsibilities
- Interface with clients on many different levels and engage with PCI culture and mission.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for existing and potential clients.
- Meet with client contacts regularly to provide support, gather feedback, present proposals, renew POs, and inform clients about PCI's service offerings.
- Participate in at least one professional organization to align with PCI's mission of being an industry leader.
- Lead, communicate with, and manage associates, providing feedback, conducting performance reviews, and overseeing development plans.
- Mentor new hires and oversee technical services such as calibration and other technical services.
- Manage project risks and profitability, supervise resources, develop schedules, and assign tasks to maximize labor utilization.
- Ensure compliance with client and PCI site safety requirements and coordinate team member travel reservations and third-party services.
- Communicate project risks and issues to the Team Manager/PCI management.
- Ensure all team members complete calibrations, consulting, commissioning, qualifications, mapping, and PMs with accurate and timely GxP documentation, and adhere to PCI or client-specific policies and procedures.
- Host and participate in internal and client-specific meetings to discuss new services, client expansions, resources, and scheduling issues.
- Assess and address project safety concerns and ensure PCI team members comply with all relevant client and PCI site safety requirements.
- Uphold and model PCI's philosophy and values through honesty, integrity, self-motivation, teamwork, pride, and commitment.
- Develop client quotes and proposals, monitor resource scheduling, and ensure timely timesheet submittal and approval.
- Actively participate in an external professional organization and hold an external certification if possible.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge and application of instrument, equipment, and loop calibrations in manufacturing, utilities, and laboratory environments.
- Thorough instrumentation and troubleshooting skills, and a deep understanding of NIST, GMP, and other regulated standards and guidelines.
- Expert knowledge of test equipment and capabilities, including tolerance requirements and 4:1 TAR.
- Exceptional computer maintenance management systems (CMMS) skills, demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, and proficiency in navigating and utilizing MAS500 Pivot Table and project KPI module.
- Experience in developing and updating PCI policies and procedures, interpreting government regulations, and providing training and guidance to technician resources.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with clients and coworkers, able to interpret client requests and form proposals or quotations.
- Ability to complete quotations, proposals, and purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Technical background with a two-year degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent military training, combined with four-plus years of applicable instrumentation, calibration, or metrology experience in the Pharmaceutical/Quality industry.
- Leadership and client relations experience is preferred.
