Field Services Representative
About the role
As a Field Services Representative in our Houston office, you will support project construction, commissioning, and contract administration. Your responsibilities include developing and coordinating system test procedures, administering functional performance tests, conducting regular field observations, documenting and tracking deficiencies, supporting punch list resolution, verifying compliance with project drawings, specifications, and applicable codes, coordinating with contractors, vendors, and clients to schedule tests, shutdowns, and user training, and providing organized field reports, test records, and similar documentation. You will also provide regular updates to the project team regarding progress and field issues.
Responsibilities
- Support project construction, commissioning, and contract administration
- Develop and coordinate system test procedures
- Administer functional performance tests
- Conduct regular field observations
- Document and track deficiencies
- Support punch list resolution
- Verify compliance with project drawings, specifications, and applicable codes
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and clients to schedule tests, shutdowns, and user training
- Provide organized field reports, test records, and similar documentation
- Provide regular updates to the project team regarding progress and field issues
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in construction management/administration, commissioning, facilities management/operation, mechanical contracting, or MEP coordination
- Knowledge of test and balance, and controls
- Knowledge of electrical and life safety systems (a plus)
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Full understanding of applicable design codes, design standards, and specification requirements
- Advanced knowledge of construction and general knowledge of operations/maintenance methods
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and other construction-based software
- Valid state driver’s license for job site travel
